To help your muscles gain strength while working out, there are a few things you need to do to help that along. You want a solid workout and maximize your muscle growth. How do you do that?
There are a few things you need to do pre workout to help your muscles gain their maximum amount of strength from the workout.
First is to get a good night?s sleep. Your muscles heal the body repairs itself during sleep. Shortchanging yourself on sleep is shortchanging your workout program.
Second you need the proper ratio of protein, carbs and fats. Split this between six light meals a few hours apart. Your body will need a continued flow of fuel to for your bodybuilding efforts.
Third you want to work out as early in the day as possible. A workout will boost your metabolism and will keep it boosted as long as you?re up and moving around. So working out at night negates the extra metabolism bonus. You want to help your muscles gain strength, not hinder them.
Fourth but not least at all is to drink a lot of water. Your body needs it to flush out the toxins, waste, and keep those muscles lubricated and happy. Don?t shortchange your bodybuilding by only drinking 6 cups of water a day. Drink at least 10 to 16 cups.
During a workout there are also some rules you need to follow. Always warm up by doing some light cardio for five to ten minutes. This will help prevent muscles tearing and will get your weight lifting going at the proper intensity right off the bat. Rest only enough to catch your breath between workouts. You want to keep it at a moderately intense level the entire time. Always stretch the muscles you worked out after the entire workout is over. This helps muscle recovery and muscle memory. Finally drink a protein shake or drink as soon as your workout is over. Drink it even before you hit the showers to maximize how your muscles gain strength. Give them the fuel they need right away.
After the workout have small meal with the proper nutrition ratio within an hour of drinking the protein shake. Also don?t forget to keep up that water intake. You may think it?s too much, but when you feel like you need to drink water you?re already dehydrated which is not helping your workout program at all.
